In 2006 Splitter Records officially launched and formed it’s first group, Splitta Squad, wich includes local Florida artist Great, Chucky Boy, Gitt and Tampa Tony. Now balancing the acts of owning a record label and being artists who have shared the stage with such artist as Trick Daddy, JT Money, J-shin, B.O.B., Rick Ross, Acafool, Blood Raw, Jeezy, BG and others it was all quite obvious they were headed in the right direction.
As a group they continue to strive for greatness and accomplish bigger and better things. Putting on their executive hats, the label made good business decisions including the one to place Splitter Records in shared office space with the management team of T-Pain in Miami, FL. Utilizing the opportunity by learning how to become all around better businessmen and a better artists. The opportunity also helped them to better understand the ever changing music industry.
Splitter Records / Splitta Squad has to date successfully sold 10′s of thousands of promo items such as bobbleheads, their own brand of sneakers and even an invention they created called the Da Splitta, all of which helped them brand the label / group and make it a household name in many markets.
In December 2009 Splitta Squad hit a new high when they performed in the ultimate Jamaica based reggae festival, STING in front of an audience of 40,000+. Currently Splitta Squad is experiencing radio exposure with their 2010 smash crossover single “Superstar”. The new single will be featured on Splitta Squad’s upcoming project entitled “Re-Creation”
