Jazz in the Gardens Miami at Sun Life Stadium 2012 Recap

We are so thankful to have been a part of Jazz in the Gardens for the 3rd year in a row with almost 50,000 in attendance! Every year it keeps getting better and better. Event organizers set the Jazz in The Gardens table with some of the most talented entertainers from around the world including Jodi Hill, Ike & Val, Ramsey Lewis, Doug E Fresh, Ledisi, Kem, Jill Scott, Sensere, Nicole Henry, Kevin Eubanks, Kenny G, Patti LaBelle & Mary J Blige!

Mary J. Blige may have been the last we listed but let us tell you she absolutely must have left her heart on the stage on Sunday! She gave an incredible performance to say the very least; it was definitely dedicated to her fans!

Jazz in the Gardens is more than just a concert... from the food, the patrons, the media, the set up, the sound, the lights and everything in between; it is an experience that every music lover should aim to be a part of next year. Jazz in Gardens is bridging the gap between generations of old and new with the line ups which keep getting better every single year. Kenny G showed up and showed out on the saxophone. He ended up giving it away to one lucky audience member in the crowd, which really made someones day. Kenny was truly engaged with the fans on this beautiful day as his curls swayed to the winds and the tunes of his more than sexy sax performances soothed the crowd! Jazz doesn't get too much hotter than Kenny G when you talk about smooth.

The entire weekend was hosted by legendary hip hop female artist MC Lyte who was looking phenomenal as ever. She held it down and kept the party rocking all weekend long.




Dougie E Fresh was probably the biggest surprise of the entire weekend as he had so much energy and charisma. He was probably the most memorable of all of the Jazz in The Gardens experiences besides Mary J.

The legendary hip hop, beat boxing machine showed us that time hasn't slowed his energy, charisma, drive, beat boxing abilities and love for his fans down one bit. He was looking fresh to def and super clean on Saturday night and truly brought the house down. It was so beautiful to see how he bridged the gap between the older and younger generations; the crowd was going crazy!




Soul Diva Jill Scott showed up and kicked off her shoes literally! She looked absolutely gorgeous and gave a phenomenal performance as well.

Patti Labelle has always exceeded the average level of expectations! She invited a couple of fans onstage to dance and sing with her and it was the most comical, loving display of affections I have have ever seen her show her fans! Quite enjoyable to say the least! Patti was full of so much energy and charisma, she didn't miss a beat! I was thrilled to see her perform again. She looked absolutely amazing as well! She just doesn't seem to age and her music never gets old!

 There were so many other highlights and exciting experiences to share but 2013 is the year you must attend Jazz in The Gardens if you haven't had the chance yet!
